2 cops are dead after committing suicide, they just had a 1-year-old baby. Life is rough
Deputy Clayton Osteen, 24, and his girlfriend Deputy Victoria Pacheco, 23, both killed themselves within days of each other in St. Lucie County, Florida. Clayton and Victioria were in a relationship with each other, they were both cops with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office. The couple had a 1-year-old son who is still alive and was not injured during the suicides.
Clayton attempted suicide on New Year’s Eve 2021 while he was off duty. County investigators responded to a home shortly before midnight on December 31, 2021 in St. Lucie County regarding a suicide attempt.
Clayton was badly injured and rushed to the hospital. However, on January 2, 2022 the decision was made to take Clayton off of life support. His life then ended.
Sadly, on January 4, 2022 his girlfriend Victoria killed herself. She was pronounced deceased on scene.
Sheriff Ken Mascara had this to say:
“While it is impossible for us to fully comprehend the private circumstances leading up to this devastating loss, we pray that this tragedy becomes a catalyst for change, a catalyst to help ease the stigma surrounding well-being and normalize the conversation about the challenges so many of us face on a regular basis.”
The couple’s 1-year-old baby will be taken care of my a close family member.
Clayton joined the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office in 2019, while Victoria joined the same department in 2020. Clayton was also a SWAT member for the sheriff’s office.
