The cop was looking for a new house when gang members pulled up and shot him
LAPD Officer Fernando Uriel Arroyos, 27, was killed while off duty in a robbery attempt on January 10, 2022 in Los Angeles, CA.
Officer Arroyos was looking for new houses in a neighborhood with his girlfriend. Three male gang members got out of a black pickup truck and tried to rob Officer Arroyos. The men had guns and shot Officer Arroyos.
The officer told his girlfriend to run away, that is when the officer shot back at the suspects. The gang members fled the scene.
Arroyos’ girlfriend called police. The officer was taken to the hospital where he died. Several people have been detained and questioned, but no arrests have been made. The suspects are gang members.
Officer Arroyos is survived by his parents and girlfriend. Officer Arroyos was with the LAPD for 3 years.
