GROWN MAN CHARGED WITH MURDERING 16-YEAR-OLD BOY ON 4TH OF JULY

Dashawn Rorie, 30, was arrested on July 6, 2021 charged with the murder of Travell Moore, 16, in Charlotte, NC.

Travell was shot and killed on July 4, 2021 on South Blvd. Travell was in a vehicle sitting in traffic on South Blvd. in Charlotte. A suspect then pulled up to the victim and shot Travell. Several shots were fired at the victim.

Travell suffered life threatening injuries. 911 was called and Travell was taken to the hospital and underwent emergency care.

Unfortunately Travell succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. 

As a result of continued investigation, Dashawn was identified as a suspect; he has since been arrested and charged with murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle and assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill.
