INMATE DIES AT MECKLENBURG COUNTY JAIL AGAIN, FIVE DIED AT SAME JAIL IN 2018

Michael was a inmate at the jail in uptown Charlotte.

Michael was found unresponsive in his cell and was transported to Atrium Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. At the moment there is no cause on what led to the death.

Five inmates died over a period of five months in 2018 at Mecklenburg County jails. The N.C. Department of Health and Human Service says that the Mecklenburg County jail has had one death annually from 2014 to 2017.
