18-year-old Jaterrious Moore was shot and killed on August 14, 2021 close to 4 a.m. on West Sugar Creek Charlotte, NC. Another person was also shot and injured in the shooting.
Officers were in close proximity of West Sugar Creek Road and Reagan Drive when they heard several gunshots being discharged. As they continued to investigate, they located Jaterrious lying in the parking lot of a business and suffering from gunshot wounds. A second victim was shot at the same location and transported to a local hospital with injuries.
Supposedly, officers immediately rendered aid to Jaterrious, but he was still pronounced deceased on the scene. Many teenagers have been murdered over the last month.
16-year-old Travell Moore, 16, was killed on the 4th of July 2021 in Charlotte.
12-year-old Loyalti Allah lost her life during a drive-by shooting less than a month ago.
Damontae Austin, 18, was shot and killed on July 26, 2021 at 1:30 a.m. in Charlotte.

Ronnie Little, 32, was killed in a fatal motor vehicle collision near West Sugar Creek Road.
