Shalecia was a mother and well loved in her community. On Sunday April 28, Shalecia was shot along with another man that she was with in the afternoon hours at the Heritage Park Apartments. Both victims were transported to the hospital, but that is where Shalecia unfortunately died.
The man survived and is being evaluated at the hospital. No arrests have been made at the moment, but the investigation is moving forward.
In March 2019 a mother of two was also killed in a shooting.
