A young mother identified as Janyah Smallwood, 20, was found dead on October 28, 2022 around 10 a.m. in the morning in Charlotte, NC.
Janyah was found dead in an abandoned apartment near North Tryon Street. The circumstances surrounding Janyah’s death are still being investigated.
Janyah was a mother and leaves behind a infant daughter. Janyah is an adult, but she formerly attended Ashbrook High School as a teenager.
